J.P. Luby Surf Park on Mustang Island is a favorite hangout for the younger crowd and surfers. The park's surf pier increases wave action in the area waters and helps to produce good sufing conditions. Good sufing conditions are also found at Balli Park. Surfboards can be rented at many of the island shops. A pavilion and recreational facilities are nearby.
